Natural Resources Management has been one of the thrust areas of IRTC's core functioning. The past experience as a training centre on watershed development under the Peoples Plan Campaign and the vision of KSSP on participatory development has been the guiding forces. Presently the division is giving technical support to a number of LSGIs in the preparation of watershed based master plan and implementation of holistic watershed development programmes/projects. The division has been providing technical support and assistance for various programmes sponsored by NABARD and other government bodies. On the water conservation front, we have expertise in pond renovation; stone pitched bunds, earthen bunds, live fencing, contour trench, moisture conservation pits, mulching etc. Eco-restoration plans, support to farmer producer organization, participatory resource mapping, etc. are also included in the basket of our operations.
