IRTC has more than two decades of experience in Mushroom Cultivation and handholding of Mushroom farmers through trainings. IRTC is engaged in the production and supply of mushroom spawns and mushroom for household consumption. We are distributing spawns to more than 400 farmers. Majority of the customers of IRTC are hailing from Kozhikode, Malappuram, Palakkad and Thrissur districts.

IRTC owns a well-equipped mushroom cultivation lab and a biotechnology lab with all modern facilities to carry out necessary research for the production and quality control of mushroom spawn. We undertake intensive training programme and offer consultation for different agencies. We could provide training to around thousand persons all over the State and presently nearly five hundred farmers are following the production practice of IRTC. IRTC has also promoted Joint Liability Groups (JLG) of women for mushroom cultivation to take up mushroom as a commercial venture. Continuous technical, scientific and managerial support is given to such individuals and groups.
